ME & MY APPROACH

For some years I have been seeing clients in my London and Surrey practices, and via Skype and Telephone.

Being a qualified psychodynamic counsellor, I see myself as both counsellor, working with clients to resolve difficulties and make certain choices in the present day, and psychotherapist, taking a more analytical approach to help clients understand links between the past and their life today.

I am a great believer that we are extremely complex beings, and within my work I try to discover what is happening for the “whole” person, as I feel there is no area that is unconnected.

There are certain areas where Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is a useful tool in a clients' work. I choose to integrate this where necessary within my approach.

A clients' sense of safety and well being, emotionally and otherwise within the therapeutic environment is paramount for their progress. It is always my intention that clients have a “sanctuary” within sessions and the knowledge of support being at hand between sessions.

As a therapist I enjoy my career deeply and truly believe that everyone can become a happier and more fulfilled person through the therapeutic process. It is the most satisfying moment when a client leaves therapy a transformed figure ready to embrace life to the full. I always feel honoured to have had the opportunity to play some part in this amazing journey.
